Distributed Permanent Magnet Direct-Drive Belt Conveyor System and Its Control Strategy

The long-distance traditional belt conveyor driven by a single high-power motor has the problems of excessive tension increments and sharp fluctuations in speed tension. This paper designs distributed permanent magnet direct drive system. dynamic model unit is analyzed. multi-motor ring coupling control strategy double sliding film torque system are formulated. mechanical-electrical built. Using MATLAB/Simulink modeling simulation, vector electromechanical behavior under light load start-up local variable operation conditions studied. results show that: significantly reduces peak increment; time spent starting light-load condition shorter, fluctuation amplitude smaller; it possible to reduce range conveying improve robustness conditions. Experiments have verified that increasing number motors conventional can suppress disturbance caused changes, direct-drive better regulation performance.
